About me:
I'm don't have a son/daughter in the Navy, but I do have a sister! She just went off to boot camp on 5/6/08. My mom recently joined this site...and since I'm so close to my sister, I figured I'd create a profile. So, HERE I AM! lol

After boot camp my sister leave to Cali. She's training to become a C.T.I (whatever that stands for...) lol But I do know she'll be a linguist! She'll be at school in Cali for 2 years! sheesh! She scored high on her exam, so, She'll learn one of the complex languages such as chinese and arabic. I'm soo proud of her!
My child's first name:
Asuncion
My son/daughter is:
Enlisted
I was the proudest of my child when:
I was the proudest of my SISTER when she actually left to boot camp. I'm a year older than my sister. Throughout the years I've taught my younger sister, Sucy to always be strong minded and stand up for herself. She was always a bit emotionally weaker than I, but she has definitely grown. I'm sooooo proud of her! She has grown to be a brave, courageous, and bold person! God Bless her every move!
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Was concerned or afraid, Was proud, Encouraged him/her
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
As a new Nave SISTER, the most important thing I learned was she volunteered to leave to the Navy and although, I was afraid for her, I knew I have to support her no matter what!
My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer

This is my Sister, Sucy with my daughter, Sanai.

What Are They Saying?!

Okay, it's been a week since my sister left to boot camp. I still haven't heard from her. I know she's busy taking orders and running around lol ... but do they not have enough time to write home??? Can someone tell me what their family members are saying about boot camp?! I'm dying to know! - A concerned sister, Valencia B.

Valencia, you do not have to apologize - we are all so busy, and I am having a really tough time keeping up with all the comments on here other than on my days off work. Now my back is sore so I have to be off work for two days so the spasms settle down, so I have lots of time to kill...

I hope your sister is doing well - and I hope I get to meet you and your family at our PIR on July 3rd!

By the way, Valencia: I think you being on this web site is a wonderful idea. To have a sister in boot camp is as challenging, I am sure, as it is to have a son or a daughter in boot camp. So welcome to our place! You will find a lot of good people on here, and this site has saved my sanity, especially to start with...

And my sanity probably still needs to be saved... I doubt I was ever quite normal.... LOL...
