lady712704- Aww yay! That is so excited you got the letter! At least he gets Christmas day off. Are you going to go see him that day? Or just wait until graduation and the rest of the break? I called his recruiter today and he said that he didn't know the address but to call Friday and he should have it by then if I didn't get a letter already telling me. He also said that because Jake is in Special Opps that he most likely has not even started anything because it is such a small group that they have to wait until all the ones that are in Special Opps get there. So that means that his graduation is prob even further away then normal :( Jake's mom sent me this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdHt56NdERo&feature=related and there are more of them you can watch that shows exactly what they are going through the whole time there...I cried the whole time while I watched it lol

kellie-I got the form letter on saturday!!! I was so excited, I just stood at the mailbox and looked at it for a second. It turns out that he graduates on Dec. 30. I was disappointed with that. The letter had a number on it (their public affairs office) if you had any more questions....of course I called. lol They told me he would get christmas day off but could not leave further than 50 miles from base and had to return to base that night and that after he graduates on Dec 30, he would get the rest of the exodus break. So he will get leave from the 30-Jan 4. :)

Yeah I would really like it if he got those 2 weeks!! So your boyfriend left Oct 29 and you still haven't received a letter yet? Oh gosh I'm going to die if it takes a few weeks to get anything. I don't have a choice huh? lol I am for sure calling his recruiter tomorrow then to see if he knows anything and can tell me his ship and division. I already have 4 letters that are a few pages each ready to send so I'm just anxious to get them to him. And I am sure they will get it to him at some point. And about that tear...I think we all are in the same boat on that one and just crying all the time! lol My friends hate me now because I not myself and all mopey these past few days. I think I will be okay once I start getting letters.

it took like a week and a half I think....That's when his parents got that and the box of his stuff.

It may get there but the address his recruiter gave me was for the base just with his ship and division...the one my boyfriend gave me had the ship and division but had a different street address....I'm sure it will get there..it just might take longer.

Lady- I called my boyfriend's recruiter for his information and the address he gave me was different from the address that was on the form letter. I never sent any letters using the address the recruiter gave me.

I am kinda confused about the graduation thing. I do know that after a week or two, they are supposed to send a form letter home with their address and graduation date and a short message, so i have been checking the mail and calling his mom for that every day!...but i did find out that you can call his recruiter after 1 week and they can give you his mailing address early, so that's what i did. I sent the first letter off yesterday.
There is also a good website http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/ that has the upcoming graduations on it (if you know your boyfriend's division number which is part of the mailing address). My boyfriend's graduation date isn't listed yet. But there is this thing called Christmas Exodus, where every branch of the military that is in training or bootcamp stops activity for like 2weeks, so i am praying that he graduates dec 18 (i was told that is when exodus starts). If yor boyfriend didnt start until Nov. 5th, he may get to come home for exodus, and the report back to boot camp...or he may have to stay, but you should call his recruiter and ask about exodus and what may happen to your boyfriend in that situation...good luck......OMG, another tear. Jeez, i should be dried out by now!

lady712704-I just joined also and after reading what other people have put, this site has helped me out so much! My boyfriend left 11/5 and so I am very fresh with him being gone and has been loosing it a lot already. lol I am sure once I start receiving stuff in the mail it is going to be real bad! Is his group the one that graduates on Dec. 30?
