Thank you so much, Brenda S. He has been in touch and is happy and learning the ropes. So far he gets along with everyone...they've all been very helpful.

Little Emmett's funeral was Friday. I teach a class of girls ages 8-11 at our church and last week we made cards for Emmett's big sister who is in the same age group. The girls were so very compassionate. It was wonderful!

God bless our troops, their families and friends always!

You're welcome, Brenda.

Well, my son is finally on his ship! Well, I think he is. Last I heard he was headed for the airport to fly SA and I haven't heard from him since, which is unusual since he got to the base in the Gulf.

I have some sad news too. Yesterday, my friend's grandson, Emmett went home to his Father in Heaven at the tender age of 8 months. Please pray for his family. Thank you.

Sometimes you need more than one C school to complete what your job is. Sorta like in civilian life a police officer needs the degree, then special EMT school, maybe Detective school...lots of different "extras" that enhance their jobs. After Corpsman school they have lots of choices and they suggest you take several such as dental stuff, orthopaedic stuff, opthamology, etc. So in electronics there are so many different ways to go and different electrical things to fix, it can't just be one school. But the more the better the resume looks. Make sure that all paperwork regarding schooling you have a copy of, in case the Navy would lose it. Hope this helps.

Thanks Charla, I'm not sure why 3 C school, but as Tom tells me, he just goes where the Navy sends him, lol. He is Advanced Electronics / Computer Field: Electronics Technician (ET), so as soon as he done with the C schools he will be heading to Sasebo, Japan. I'm actually glad he has so many C schools, because that means a better chance for us to see him before he moves so far away.
