Mormons believe their President of the LDS Church is a prophet of God. That may be why he chose the Mormons in the first place, so he could claim God speaks to him...and then rub that Vick's vapor rub under his eyes and cry, cry, cry. Man, that would be really sick, but I wouldn't put it past him or his handlers.

Joseph Smith, who founded the LDS church, focused on converting the masses and then his plan was to run for President, with the thought of ALL Americans following his doctrine by federal law. Look it up...this is a simple version of his thought process, but basically, that was his goal. And here comes Beck....do you think he has the guts to attempt the same thing? and all those sheepies will just follow? what happened to REAL conservative Republicans? where are they hiding? why are they allowing their party to be taken over by these fanatics? this has really back fired for the KKKarl Rove clan, huh? he'll get ditched in a heart beat!

From the salon article:" Recently, a group of 70 evangelical pastors released a letter asking people to stop misrepresenting the faith of the President, saying in the letter, "the personal faith of our leaders should not up for public debate." (Holly Bailey, August 26th, Yahoo News)
I wonder what the response will be by the local ministers and pastors across the country when they realize that their congregations are more about worshiping a Beck or a Palin than in logical thinking and real faith in God?

When I took the Lutheran instruction course so my kids could go to that church...I was told my Mormon ancestors were a cult, and heathens. I left. To heck with that prejudice...my kids were not going to church filled with hate for our ancestors, no matter what faith we followed now. The fundamentalists will have to go after Beck...or everyone will know them to be the hypocrites they are!!

"In the same regard that African-American writer Toni Morrison labeled Bill Clinton as "America's first black president," could a case be made for George W. Bush being America's first Muslim-American president? "

Ladies, and gentleman!,
Here's a Link to article at Military.com on the mosque mess

The American media, and to a lesser extent the world media, focus on symbolism at the expense of underlying reality. And sometimes they can't even make sense of the symbolism. The artificially generated controversy over a proposed mosque within about two blocks of the site of the 9/11 attacks is illustrative of this ignorance.
