Just got off the phone with Mike. He sounded good but very bad reception on the phone line could barely hear him. Said the div. Just one their first flag. WOO HOOO

Julie, Your daughter will be tired but excited when she calls. Steph was so horse we were worried, but she had been up for 36 hours at that time. She said the best moment was when they got to take the recrute hat off and put on the Navy ball cap. I think she was prouder of that than anything she had ever done!

Ladies, say a prayer for my husband, he just left to drive to D.C. to take Steph her car. (she bought a new one the last time she was here and has been patiently waiting for it!) He'll fly home Sunday morning so just a quick visit to her. So I'm asking for a safe trip and good weather.

Hi everyone.. I am new to the site! This was recommended by a friend of mine off of Facebook!
I have a 19-yr-old son who sill be leaving in February for the Great Lakes. He signed up last April under the delayed entry program..and I thought "good, February is a long way away." Well, it's now less than three months away, and I'm already having a difficult time. Helping him clean through all of his belongings that he's had since childhood...I'm pretty sure come February I'm going to be a blubbering mess. I'm so glad I'll have this place to come to!

oops forgot to add I do stalk the mail man everyday and he knows what I am looking for. The first letter he gave me I was so excited I gave him a hug right in the middle of the street. LOL

Got my 2nd letter yesterday. Mike says he is doing well and is attending prayer service every night (he is such a good boy). He says he has made some friends and talks about a boy named Fallon from Jersey. Says his division is doing well. Says also for everyone to keep sending the letters that is what keeps their soldier going.


I wish that the post office gave a multi discount for letter mailing like buy one stamp get one free!!!! Sure would be nice. With my limited budget I cant even send mike any. Oh well maybe I will put it on mikes list for santa. HAHA
