Ladies, if that link I posted below doesn't work, just go over to the March Events calendar to the right of the page, scroll down to "Idaho Moms Share Time" and click. Looks like a few have already managed to pop in and RSVP one way or another. :)

Vicki, I was kind of hoping you'd make it, I was reading a ways back and I think our sons may be training together soon. I wouldn't be surprised if Cindy, Kim and I are still sitting there talking past 1 or 2! Come even for part if you can! However, I'm an ex softballer myself, I know how important those tourneys are, so don't worry if you have to choose family time over N4Ms, we understand. Our kids are only with us for a certain (short) amount of time. :-)

Cindy, that's so funny, I was thinking about that last night! I'll decide what I'm wearing and text you. I'll turn my phone back on as soon as we land too. Ok ladies, if I'm not there on Sat am, it's because Cindy walked right by me, (and I didn't recognize her) both our phone batteries went dead and I'm still wandering around the airport carrying a "Lost Navy Mom " sign. LOL

Cindy,
When I followed your link it told me that the event was already full, and I could not RSVP! Funny how those things work! :) I am going to try my best to be there. My daughter has a 3 game softball tourney in Meridian on Saturday starting at 10:00am. I hate to miss a moment with her, but I want to meet all of you so badly! What time are you planning to meet??

Angie ~ I can't wait to SEE you too! Haven't decided if I'm going to make a sign or not...pretty sure I know what your face looks like.

To the rest of you...I would love to fill in the center of the over flow room with Navy mom's. Our usual attendance has been 7 - 10, hoping we'll have at least 15 or more this time. See you on Saturday!

Hey ladies who are planning to attend next Saturdays get together...don't forget to officially RSVP to the event! Cindy was looking a little lonely in there! http://www.navyformoms.com/events/idaho-moms-share-time?rsvpConfirm=1

Thanks for making this all happen. I look forward to hearing all about-and seeing pictures of-your fabulous Sailors!

Cindy, tomorrow morning, I am meeting with the local female Navy Lt who is in charge of organizing all the festivities for Navy Week here. Will let you all know what I found out. It just might be worth a road trip! :-) SEE you soon! :D

Kanga ~ I'm excited for you to have heard from your daughter. There is nothing better to ease the wondering, worrying, etc than to hear your kids voice. She must be in a good group to have been able to talk for awhile. My son's wasn't so good. They were never able to 'gel' as a division so phone calls from him were always short. Either that or because he's male he just didn't have a lot to say! This is where it comes in handy to have a daughter-in-law...I learn more from her about what he's doing then from him! N4M's is a god send isn't it.

I know it's difficult for you northern mom's and eastern Idaho mom's to attend. If I ever make it your way, I will definitely let you know so we could at least get together at a restaurant or something.

Angie ~ powers that be?! I thought you were in tight with all those big head honcho's up there. ;-p Lilac Festival, I have never heard of that, and as lilac's are one of Martin's favorite smells, perhaps we could find our way up there. Will depend on a lot though. See you Friday!!!!!

Denise ~ The next time you know when you're headed to Boise, let me know. I will meet you and your family anywhere that's convenient for you. Great Lakes is far away isn't it. I thought it was the other side of the world. Morgan was living in Seattle at the time he enlisted, that was hard enough for awhile! He didn't like it back there so was happy he got his request of Camp Pendleton in San Diego.

Des ~ That is the coolest news about Greg! He has to be turning some heads to make it there. I know you are proud of him. 10 years in the service, what did he and the family do to celebrate?

Hi Cindy and Moms,
I wanted to tell you that Greg called me this morning and he told me he made chief's selection board. I guess they have to have all the packets from the whole Navy in by June. So it will be towards the end of summer before he knows if he makes Chief. He thinks it might take him a couple years yet but he was happy he was selected.
March 2nd was what Greg called his Navy hump day! 10 year Navy anniversary with 10 to go. I read about some of the moms here who have sailors in bootcamp and I can't believe it's been 10 years since I was in the newbie shoes. Time flies moms. My wise aunt used to tell me when the boys were little and driving me nuts.... "this too shall pass" Believe me BC moms, this too shall pass - the worry, unknown - how is my sailor doing, are they eating well, getting enough sleep, are others making trouble for the whole division, etc... Believe me, I went through it all, cried alot, worried alot, tried to get every bit of info I could. cherished the letters with the Navy seal that came on Thursdays. Cried when the box came. Then grauation day and oh my word... the goose bumps, tears, PRIDE, love all going through you at once when they raise that big door and the sailors dress in their whites or blues march in. One of the most awesom experiences of a mom's life. Even though I have been through it twice, the first is still very vivid in my mind. These ten years have gone so fast.
Congrats to you new Navy moms and your sailors. God bless them as they join the ranks of an Unites States Sailor.

Hi Cindy,
My son graduates from bootcamp on april 2nd then he is off to Nuclear Engineering in south carolina.
Thx for the invite to IHOP in Boise but unfortunatly I am a caretaker to my adult daughter and her 2 yr old son who both have muscular dystrophy. I can't leave her much as it is hard for her to care for her son without me. I am in boise here and there as that is where all there doctors are. so maybe one day I will be able to plan meeting everyone up there around their appointment.

I am doing well with my son gone. He went to school for a year in Moscow then a year in San Fransisco. i am use to him coming and going for holidays. I just wish he wasn't going to be on the other side of the US
