That would be fun to find moms close by, I live in Bois DArc, right outside of Springfield. The cookie exchange sounds fun, I am having an ornament exchange party at my house the same day. Sorry

I wanted to see if anyone here wanted to do a Cookie Exchange meet and greet?? I live right next to the state line of KS/MO , I don't know of any groups in our area....I will have it at my house if anyone is interested..I was thinking Dec 7th. Sunday I live in Shawnee Mission KS...I know there are alot of us....anyone interested let me know.

My son has been in for 9 years, is a Nuke, served on the Eisenhower for 3 years, was on the Reagan for a year or so, was on when they moved it from Norfolk to San Diego, currently serving as a recruiter, leaving for OCS in Feb. then off to college, then NFO School. I'd guess you'd say that we've been through lots of phases in the Navy. Awfully proud of what he's accomplished and the man he's become. Allows his mom to do some travelling to visit, and I love it!! As a "longer" Navy mom, would be glad to help new moms with anything I can.

Haven't posted in a while but I have noticed there are a lot of new mom's on here that live very close to the Springfield area.... We are in Aurora.

My daughter is on the USS Roosevelt. She is loving it. The spent a couple of days in South Africa and lost a soccer game to their soccer team. She has seen whales, penquins and a baboon. They stay sooo busy. She has called but the phone had such an echo it was hard to talk.

I live abot 35 or 40 miles east of you. You come down east hwy 36 or east hwy 6 towards Cameron,mo. You come stright east on hwy 6, make no turns until you hit my driveway. do not cross the bridge. It Is only 15 to 25 mins to my house. I hope this Is close enough. Love you all. karen felber
