Liz'smom, I'm sorry to hear that.  My sailor had them in both legs in BC, they pushed her through and when she got to A school they were so bad, they had to but her in air casts 24/7!  she was in a wheelchair for A school, C school crutches....they asked 2 seperate doctors, 2 seperate times if she wanted a medical discharge.  She said He!! No!  lol  if she follows their suggestions she'll be fine.  Prayers going out for her (and you)

Good Morning Everyone!!!  Made it safely to Ohio.  Probably won't be on too much since there is no internet at my Dad's place and I'll be spending much of my time there cleaning and getting ready to put it on the market.

So glad you heard from your daughter and you at least know what is going on.  They will help her heal and strengthen her legs.  Praying for speedy and complete healing!!!  Then she'll be able to move on to bigger and better things!!!!  Hugs to you both!!

I agree with all the info you got here!!  We are Moms - we look out for our children - I don't care how old they get, they still come to us for advice so let hubby know you are just showing support and guidance to your daughter and all of us Navy Moms have done the same thing!!!!  When they are in bootcamp they can be so intimidated sometimes that they don't get to ask the questions they want so as not to bring attention to themselves.  So to have these matters taken care of before they leave then they don't have to do it in bootcamp!!!  Follow your instincts, they are all good!!!!!

My husband and I kept our Navy Federal accounts long after we got out of the Navy.  We've been members for over 30 years.  We do much of our stuff online or by mail if we have to send in deposits.  Yes, it's inconvenient sometimes because we don't have a branch to go to but it's never caused a major problem.  If we are ever some place long enough then we open a local bank account for cashing checks and such, but we haven't needed to do that in over 4 years.  The best thing about keeping our NFCU accounts is the low interest rates we get on some of our loans!!!

Hope everyone else is doing good!!!  I'm off to do some cleaning!!
