I have lots of shopping to get caught up on...not only 3 out of 5 in my family have Dec birthdays...then I have Christmas. Guess I better get busy, although it may have to wait till after graduation this week:-)
Maegansmom--I heard from my son today too and it still pulls at my heart with every phone call, and then there is that smile I keep till the next one. Aren't they great?
Martisu-great to have you in our group! Lots of good positive feedback and great people. I thank God for this site, it truly has been a blessing.

I did not shop once this weekend!! I have been a stay at home girl for once. Ive got lots of making up to do tomorrow and Tues to be ready to leave on Wed morning for DADDY!!!! YAY

Hi all those with Loved Ones in the ??-10 classes!
I started a discussion called Graduates of OCS ??-10 to help us keep in contact with each other. It seems the FY 10 classes have really made great use of this group and the discussions by class. Just heard from my daughter she is in 09, it was so good to hear her voice!!! Every week she sounds a little better, more encouraged, and sounding well. Can't wait to see her!!!

Terri-I'm so glad we were finally able to meet one another. Thank you so much for inviting Matthew and I to join you and your family at bowling. I enjoyed meeting your family and seeing Tyler again! I look forward to hopefully seeing you again around Christmas time. You live so close so we will have to catch up sometime again! Also, could you send me the picture you took? I promised Donna I would send it to her and I would love to see it!

I hope everyone had a HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I had the pleasure of spending a whole week with Matthew before he left for SWOS. His ship allowed him to take the whole week off (Sat-Fri) before heading back up to Newport. We got to go home and see my parents for Thanksgiving. It was so nice to have him there with me. I enjoyed every minute of it! I took him to the airport today so he could fly back to Newport. As he checked in the ticket lady asked if I wanted a gate pass. Of course I said YES PLEASE! I didn't know that they would do that but since he is active military traveling on orders they let me go through with him! It was such a joy! :) I had a hard time saying goodbye for 3 weeks but I now it will be even harder as he leaves for a 7month deployment in January. I'm just enjoying every minute that I have with him until he leaves.

Bonnie-I loved the comment about the fried turkey. My family always used to fry a turkey for Thanksgiving but unfortunately we did not have a fried turkey this year. I'm sure Ryan missed that Southern tradition. Hopefully he can show those in CA some new things! :)

Hello All! I trust everyone had a great Thanksgiving despite many of you being apart from your LO. We had a wonderful day and I tried to enjoy seeing mine all together despite the craziness of having 20 people in the house pretty much all day long. The food was yummy, the company terrific and the fun endless! After our feast, 17 of us went to the movies to see The Blindside (GREAT movie for those of you who like them!!!) and on to the bowling alley where we were joined by LaurenM and Matthew (Donna's son) and although they did not bowl, we enjoyed their company very much!!!!! I already knew from this site that Lauren was a jewel....but she is even better in person!! Wow....Matthew is blessed to have her! And Matthew.....what a precious young man!!! Donna, you and your husband should be very proud of what a nice, polite, and kind son you have!! Lauren is also blessed to have found him!!! Turns out that Lauren and Tyler have many mutual friends and so I trust they will stay in contact and we will get to see more of this special young couple!!! Tyler is busy packing his room up and getting ready to load everything up for the move to Pensacola. I just told him again, how proud we are of him but not to expect that I won't cry for each and every goodbye we had. I know Wyatt and I have done our job....we raised this wonderful, independent, competent young man and now it's time to step back and watch him fly.....in more ways than one...but that doesn't mean it's easy!!! I have a sister that has two grown children who still live at home and they seem so dependent on my sister...ugh....I don't want that!!!!! I am proud that my sons have their education and are wonderful young men with lives of their own even if I indulge in a little self pity now and again!!!!

Cheryl, I so hope Michael is going to be well soon!!! This may not help you but Tyler does still have a cough....yuck!!!!

Welcome, Martisu! You've come to a great place!

Cheryl - we'll be anxious to hear what the doctor says about Michael. This must be so hard on all of you. But, I'm glad to hear Michael is improving. Not happy to hear H class is growing, though.
