mandiekaye: Call/text SARGE. He can help you:
847-212-0246
Call him now and schedule with him.
Is there anyone else flying into Milwaukee for PIR? We are thinking of getting a taxi from sarge, but I am not sure of how to do that. We don't have taxis where I am from so I have no idea if I need to reserve one, or what...I have his number, so do I just call him and tell him when we get there, or do I need to call in advance so he knows to be there? Any help would be appreciated!!! There is 6 maybe 7 of us so we are not renting a car because there isn't enough room in them so we are doing the public transit thing as far as I know....
blondi- you may be able to post what time your flight will arrive and see if anyone else here would like to share a ride from Sarge or maybe even be renting a car and be willing to give you a ride to your hotel. I know there are some great people on this site and I have seen lots of people helping each other out. if I was going to be there I would give you a ride for sure.
Thank you for that affirmation and reassurance, zStratMom! It was a great message to read at the beginning of the day!!
Good morning!!!! When I arrived home from class late last night, I checked my inbox . . .And what did I see? All the exciting news about FTLW's pup!
I had to do some editing to documents to go to a professor who was catching a flight, so, I couldn't join in the celebration of ANSWERED PRAYER!!!!!! I have to confess: I had to check my edits twice (I was a bit teary).
Now that it's morning, let me make a quick analogy: Your SRs are not lost, like the little dog, but they are fully in the hands of folks other than you. There will be periods YOU need to just go on faith. If God watches over our little dogs, he certainly watches over our sons, daughters, spouses and other loved ones. Embrace this journey and the moments of faith that help us grow along the way (and, hey, you have all of us as traveling companions!).
FTLW: So so happy the pup is HOME! I know she probably slept like a baby last night.
blondi: Amy gave you great advice. SARGE should be able to help you. I know that you can take the train to GL from Chicago, but it involves some $$$ to get to the train station--$$ to get from train station to hotel. What time do you arrive? I'm wondering if you can join a group that SARGE is already transporting from the airport....he charges by the car, not person, so it would be very cheap for you if you can find a group. Post the time/airport here you are arriving and see if anyone is using SARGE's service at that same time. SARGE will have that info too.
I am new to this site so bare with me if I am in the wrong spot. My sons grad date is 03/09 and I am still struggling to figure out how to get all my ducks in a row. I am the only one able to attend the PIR and money was pooled to purchase my airline ticket. We are now in the process of trying to find a room for 03/08 to 03/11(these dates gave me the cheapest air fair). I need to be on a tight budget and shuttle to and from grad is necessity. I did find one hotel that offered a free breakfast and light dinner which would be ideal but not sure if they had the shuttle. Cannot rent a vehicle so have to rely on public transportation. Still trying to figure out the best way to get from OHare to GL! Im a mess and desperate for advice. Any that anyone can give will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
"youn"??? as R youn goin to the stor? Geeez..."you"!
TY EVERYONE!
