My sailor is in A-school in Ft Sam Houston. Basic Corpsman training is going well. Apparently, Navy, Air force, Army have a rivalry going. Why 20 Army pukes would try and rumble with 4 SO Corpsmen is a puzzler. Navy won. hehehe. My sailor was amused by the event. I get an occasional text, and see his rare Facebook post. I guess he's busy. Ah well, when they get deployed, we hear less. GO NAVY! let's just be supportive of our sailors. I'm not going to whine about it, they are doing a fine job.

Bethr you are not the only 1. My daughter is in Pensacola and has not started A school yet. we text a couple times a week but she won't call me and she hasn't written me any letters however neither have I. I thought since she has her phone that we didn't need to read any more letters but maybe I need to start writing them.

My son is not being very communicative since boot camp! Is that a guy thing? I told him I missed his letters from boot camp! He has a computer and cell phone, he says the cell phone service is bad. He just started classes this week and said the time before that was a lot of briefings. Being a mom I want to know about everything: food, weather, bugs, laundry, roommate, etc. Anyone else have a sailor at Goose Creek SC?

I text with my daughter a lot, but have only had one GOOD phone conversation with her. Seems as though she is stuck waiting to class up to start school! She doesn't do much but clean and stand watch!

Hey BMANSMOM, haven't heard from you in forever!

My sailor is doing great. He found out that he will be heading to the fleet a lot sooner. He seems very happy. I love being able to talk and skype with him. I hope everyone is doing well.

Two weeks have flown by so fast, and it's wonderful to hear from out Sailors more often. So hows everyone doing? Your sailors?
