Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Happy Holidays everyone!  My son is flying in from Pensacola tonight for 2 weeks.  I'm so thankful to be able to have him home for the holidays.  I hope that all your sons and daughters are doing well since BC and you have the opportunity to spend some time with them over the holidays.

P.S.  I received the PIR DVD yesterday, so if you haven't gotten your copy yet, check your mail!  :-)

Sarabi2013, my son ordered photo package A. It is suppose to come with it. To be shipped at later date is my understanding.

Will someone please help me clear up a Cruisebook issue? My sailor insists he gets a Cruisebook with his photo order. When I look at his photo order it appears it is not ordered. If that's the case, is there any way to get a Cruisebook ordered yet? And...Searching past info indicates this is only ordered by the sailor at the time the pictures are ordered...

I, too, wish to thank everyone on here for all the great support during our boot camp run!  I am heading over to the Seabee moms and Port Hueneme A school pages.  Hope to stay in touch with those I have been blessed to come in contact with!  Congratulations to all the new sailors and families and best wishes for a great Navy future!!

Thank you to catmom for the daily posting of scripture. It was a light to show the way. Thanks to all the other moms for support and information. Without this page I would have been lost. I didn't always post, but I read all the posts. Congrats to all the sailors and Sailors families. I will be on the Ohio navy moms and A school site. Thank you Lemonelephant, for getting me going on this site. Blessings to all and your families.
