Comment by suvwi 16 hours ago ViperGirl and usmcmom,
My DS said last year the thing that helped him the most was the letters from home. I sent him about 3 a week, just with the news from home. He said it helped knowing that people were doing normal things. Also check the website, they put up pictures about the second week in, I love seeing him at work.
Well, one more week until our Marine option heads out to OCS... I know he's getting nervous and I wish he didn't have to go.
Congrats to Luke! But wow, what a tight plan he's already got... best of luck!
Comment by Lukes mama on Friday Luke got an award last week from NROTC. So proud of hi. Hard to believe 3 years have past by so fast. Still waiting for orders for this summer. Congratulations to everyone who is being commissioned and moving on. My mid still has 1 1/2 years left of school and should be commissioned in December of 2014. Married in 2015. Lots of planning to do.
Comment by SusanW on Wednesday Congrats to everyone! Enjoy all of the celebrations!
Comment by suvwi on Wednesday Leaving tomorrow for LA, DS graduates and commissions on Friday. Spending a few days having fun with DS before heading home Monday. DS will be working at USC until he reports to Quantico in Jan for TBS, then to Pensacola. Can't believe time has gone so fast!
