Happy Thanksgiving to all Sailors, Familes, and Friends of Div 389! Like Sue, I'm coping with long distance relationship, but it isn't as hard as boot camp was. The fact that he'll be home for Christmas makes me so very happy! I'll hug him to death while he is here to catch up, and make up for all the past and future times I wanted or needed a hug!

Hi shipmates.....I hope all of you are doing well, and getting used to the long distance relationships with your sailors. I know it has been an adjustment for me. But you know what, this site saves me......because I know all of you are going through the same things that I am. Please let's keep in touch. Happy Thanksgiving to my PIR Friday the 13th families......our families looked good at graduation, and I am proud to say that they are serving our country. Funny that I never really gave patriotism a second thought until my son enlisted in the Navy, and now, it is what it is all about.....HooRah, to our Sailors.....

Hello Paula how are you doing? How is your Sailor doing? Did he start A school already and where did he go? Alex stayed in GL and his school postposted so he will be in there for a year unless they hire more instructors. The only positive of the whole situation is that he will be out of harms way being there in GL waiting for school to start. He is still a little homesick and I miss him being home but we have to get used to the idea for this is part of our new LIVES.... I hope you and your family have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING AND GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY MOST OF ALL YOUR SAILOR AND ALL OUR SAILORS...

Hey! Hey! I keep checking to see if DIV 389 & 390 moms & wives stay together!!!!Holly glad you get New Years!!!!!!!! Amy is Justin At Goose Creek ???I am having a moment... Can't remember... I hate he is still homesick Shelton is a little too.. He just misses everyone.. Maybe he can come Christmas... He can but don't want to use all his days and not get to come home before he leaves for his Duty Station... Who knows where he will go.... Give Them a hug from me.. I wish I could hug them all.... I think Allison got to her man and forgot about us...lol Hope to read some new post sooon!!!!

Jeffrey is quite happy now that he isn't at boot camp. Is loving his apartment/dorm set up. We have been talking to him often. He doesn't start school until the end of the month, so he is just hanging out and trying to keep busy. He gets to come home the week of New Years. I am so excited. That is great that yours gets to come home for Thanksgiving! Being in contact again with our sailors is so much better and has lifted a huge rock off of my shoulders! When my other son goes this next summer I think I won't be so stressed out about all this. Still worry, but I will have a better idea of what it is all about. I am grateful for all of you and this web site.

paula, I didn't really get to meet anyone at the Ramada. It was like 7:45 before we got to the room, dropped our bags & walked down to the Meet N Greet, but we didn't stay long so we could get ready for the next morning.

That was the best weekend, but it went by WAY too fast!!! I cried for a while after we left & still have my moments, but at least I can talk to him now. He called Wed morning before leaving the airport...they too had someone pay for their breakfast!!! We all got to talk to him for about 45 mins that afternoon when he called to let me know he was there & getting situated. He didn't sound too good though...still REALLY homesick. Last night we talked for a little over an hour before he ran out of mins on his phone card lol. The kids all perked up being able to talk to him & he sounded SO much better. He met some of the guys & found out he will get to come home for Thanksgiving!!! YYYAAAYYYY! I will be driving to SC Wed. morning & then we have to leave Sun. morning to take him back. Glad to hear our other sailors are enjoying being out of BC & in A school! I definately want to stay in touch with everyone even though our boys had to go their seperate ways!

Well Shelton seems to like Ms. He said lst night he saw 3 doe's a Skunk that ran out right in front od him...he said he thought he was sone for...lol and lot's of possum... He said it is way out in the country. Small town, so he said it is just what he is use too. It made me feel so good to hear.. Have a good weekend..

Good Morning Everyone.. Looks like us Moms & wives are Settled down a Bit... Tonya Very well Said... I am Standing Proud and Still learning to let go... . It is Hard. Shelton is doing better than I expected. they have golf course there, and a bowling alley. Since golf was his life the last 3 years of school this was very exciting for him.. and he started bowling with a league every weekend... before he left. He called yesterday and said Mom I saw 2 of the holes on the course.. I get my red dot this Friday so I can check it out...I was so happy. Hope you all have a good week! Please let's keep in touch....I need my N4M Friends....

I got a call from Jordan this morning. He is at O'Hare airport waiting for the flight to Pensacola. He arrives in Florida around 4:30 today. He is glad to be out of boot camp and looking forward to the next stage of his training.
