Titanmom - that's great news, congrats to you son! Also to your son proud4son! 

My son has taken the test for E2 now twice. I haven't heard from him so I don't know how he's doing. Navybum- are the tests all the same do you know and it just depends on what rate you are? I have no idea how this works. My son is an E3 now and I made the mistake once of asking when he would be an E4! Oops- the number goes down not up! How would I know that?

My son called me this afternoon...very happy! He passed his E4 test finally....3rd time taking it. He wasn't sure exactly when hia pinning would happen, but he was certainly excited.

Well I saw Josh's name on the list as MR3 so I am thinking he made it. I haven't heard from him yet. My heart goes out to all your sailors and moms that weren't on the list. My heart was pounding the whole time I was looking on there. I will be praying for your sailors and I know you are all so proud of your sailors no may err the outcome and its very true on how many openings they have so unfair to pass and not advance.

He sent some very short texts. Something about 30% for his class. & that they didn't tell him anything. But what navybum below makes sense. Still I know he's disappointed. I felt the same when I went through the list & didn't see his name.

bcordova- thanks for putting that up. I didn't even think about it! I had seen it on a FB post. It took awhile to scroll down to the rate where my son's name would have been. I was almost dreading it as I so wanted to see his name on it for his sake. I haven't heard from him this week. Did you son explain what it meant- passing but no advancement?

Lori & navybum same thing here. I got a message from him passed the test but no change in class. I have the same question what does it all mean.

Navybum- thanks for those words. I looked for my son's name on the list and didn't see it. This would have been the second time he took the test. My heart goes out to him [ and all those men and women who tried their best but didn't make it] as I know he must be very disappointed. Does it mean if their name isn't on there that they didn't pass the test or just that there is no openings for the rate to advance?
