When I heard “Navy,” I:
Needed to learn more about it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Encourage other people to keep in contact with your child. My son appreciated letters from everyone - not just his friends and relatives.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Brenda Sue,
I don't have the address, just know that he is in the military hospital ICU in Guam. He had been in a motorcycle accident in past and had to have multiple surgeries to correct left leg. He has been fighting to keep his active duty service. Then yesterday he was involved in another accident (motorcycle is his transportation) and due to severe blood loos they could not save the right leg. He has no family there, american red cross nor navy relief can help my sis financially to get there so we are working on getting her there. So our primary concern is that he is alone and VERY upset that this may warrent a med discharge. BUT thank GOD he only lost a leg!! I have phone number to ICU. What other info should I get? Im sorry for babbling...been a LONG night.

we have to wait until Jake gets his orders--they were cut once, then the job disappeared (finances of our military)
I'll let you know--we would hope to drive. I don't expect him to leave until the end of the year, then 8 weeks after that would be end of Feb or first of March.
Keep your fingers crossed--he is SO ready to start!
