Kim, I spoke with Hans and everything is ok. Like usual, I fretted for nothing. He'll leave the ship on Sunday and get a inexpensive room someplace for the night and fly out the next morning. This is all new to me so I am still learning.

Kim, When your son left on his flight in the morning from Fukuoka, was it on the second day of his leave? I have a flight arranged on the day Hans' leave starts in the morning. That is why I asked if he could leave the day before his leave starts which would be a Sunday. He was told this was how it was done by another sailor. Thanks, Kim from Tn

Kim, if you want to send me your son's address to my inbox (e-mail), PM or whatever you call it on this site. I'll be happy to send Jonathan a birthday card. I did this for another Mom who mentioned her sailor's birthday. Her son must have know or met Katie, because he mentioned the card to her.

Hey Kim,
Thats great that Jonathon sent you some wine for your birthday. How sweet of him! I am a wino myself. We go on wine tastings on occasion. Haven't been in a while but my go to one next Friday night. We keep a variety of wines on hand around the house. I even have a wall decorated in wine decor. Wish I could share a glass with you. Cheers to you on your birthday!!!

Happy Belated Birthday Kim! Enjoy the wine from you son when it arrives.

I keep on saying to my kids that I should sign onto their computer and load all the family bithdays on their calendar calendar there. They do sell those little calendars that would fit it anyone's locker, especially with their small spaces.

Hi Kim, welcome to our MONTCO/BUCKS group. What do you do that you work at home? You said you are going to Hershey, are you staying over? We are planning a breakfast or lunch get together very soon. Six of us met fordinner one night, that was really nice. My purpose if beginning this group is to get our local moms to know each other & have our own support group on top of the entire NavyforMoms.

Again welcome, Paula (Proud Mom of Brett)

Good Morning Kim,
Thank you for re-defining D-O-D. My mind just went blank. My husband and I are creating our own book of these military and Navy Terms. In our son's emails - he will use all abbreviations. Finally, he has started accompaninig those abbrevs with the actaul names and/or meanings. You sound like you have an interesting job, as well as your husband. It must keep you hopping at times. Yes, having teh two boys have been evetful - SCouts - STar Trek Clubs, cars and the insurances, etc. That is why I started a journal about each of them. I can remember all the details and I want my future grandchildren to know that their fathers were characters! But it doesn't help when their 88 year old Grandmother encourages them. Mostly all the situtaions have been fun - but there are those times of pulling your hair out. By the way, could you please tell me what your icon picture is? I've looked and looked at it and I have no idea at all. again - thanks for answering. Have a great day and keep talking :) T-Lynn PS The reason I said future grandkids - both of boys have NO special person in thier live. They have had speical persons - only to find out they were lied too. So now, they are being very carful. Funy the two girls they have know for years and say are just friends - really are perfect for them. I think they are all sweet on each other , but just to afraid of sayig something. Yes, you are reading my mind of wanting to play cupid, but I have to be good here. Well, maybe. Let you know later :).
