Aub's mom, Did your grad packet not tell you? Under the Friday schedule there should be a paragraph telling when the division leaves. It's not a guaranteed deal but it should be pretty accurate. It should say this division leaves Sunday or this di...

Yvette, Sorry to bring you down. I know how hard it is with Travis just having left but in a few weeks it will get better. I cried about the first month that Chris was gone, almost as much as I cried during bc, but Skype really helped. To make it ...

Oh Zacs mom! That is so cool that your brother is at Bragg! It's not the greatest base in the world but it's in a pretty nice area as far as being close to the beaches, not too far from UNC Wilmington, UNC Chapel Hill, Duke, NC State, ECU and a lo...

Thanks for thinking of me! I haven't been on here much at all. I will update, I promise! He goes back to IS in June. He is looking forward to it. As far as i know, no refresher. He has enjoyed doing security, though! He should be on deployment when he switches back to IS.
My daughter is good. She isn't crazy about Hawaii. I think she and others get homesick and island fever!
How is your son doing?
I will try to update on the IS page soon!

HI Mary so GOOOD to hear from you!!
We are all good.. I actually have a really good group of students this year and all our students from last year except one is on their way to graduating this year!!
Also am working on 3 large window treatment projects which also is good...

I am NOT doing any musical performances this year. I know I will miss it but with John and Laura in High School now and their sports and music programs there isn't enough time. plus my mom is living with us temp. Her Condo is getting the heat changed out so a little cold for her to stay there.

Brendan is good also. He actually is getting ready to leave Bahrain. He doesn't have the opportunity to travel at all because of the region he is in. The island is getting small. He is playing ball but the dumb luck anytime they travel he is on his work rotation. His orders are up in Feb. He is suppose to find out his week where he will go.. The options are japan, SanDeigo, Italy or DC... Both DC and Italy will mean going back to Dam Neck for more training which he doesn't want to do but as he said more training is good for the resume..

We did get to see him back in Sept. He was in Norfolk for a training class and came home for what was to be 4 days but after 1 day got a call and was told to get back ASAP...so he was gone the next....Not sure when we will see him again. He said he wants to take his 30 day leave between orders... So I'm guessing Feb.

Glad that Chris is enjoying Korea and getting to see some of the sites. Telll him to be careful around the DMZ. Sounds like he is doing well!

How is school for you. How many classes are you taking this semester???

Well about 8 boys just came in with John so the house noise is going to go up when they start with pool, pingpong and the video games.. Eventhough they are sownstairs it travels up.. and I was just going to sit down to watch Big Bang Theory!!!

Mary take care of yourself and you are so good about keeping in touch! I do think of everyone and how the sailors are doing.. I think it becomes almost status quo once they are thru DN... they are doing their jobs and a lot doesn't change for them... Take care and I still have your phone #'s if we come to Fort Mills... The kids want to come down at Christmas but I don't know!!! Best to you and Chris!

Maribeth, PIR was truly amazing! But to me the most astonishing thing was the young man that stood in front of me when it was over!! Being in the Navy has really changed Adam alot. He is so grownup and serious. It took a couple of days before we saw the quirkest come through again. We mostly just stayed in the rooms and hung out with him, doing things he wanted to do like watching movies, taking naps, playing his guitar, being on the computer, etc. It's amazing how much little things that I take for granted mean so much to him now. I guess having them taken away completely teaches them to appreciate the freedoms that they have. We came back yesterday and Adam called us while we were driving through Kentucky. We just pulled on the emergency lane with the fashers on and talked with him for 20 minutes! After being with us for 5 1/2 days he was SOOOO homesick. I guess seeing us was a two-edged sword. He is so concerned about this medical hold and the possible outcome of getting hung up in the system and not getting to do something he really wants to do. If he is reclassified, he said he wants to looking into applying for Intel or Crytology. His medical tests are not until 9/14 so he is anxious to move on.

We were going into Chicago one day and Racheal's cell phone rang. It was Chris calling Adam from overseas. They talked for about 10 minutes. Please tell Chris "thank you" when you next talk with him because that one phone call meant more to Adam than all the others he got put together. Adam has access to the computer now so maybe they can reconnect on Myspace. It was truly a thoughtful thing for Chris to do. You raised a good boy there.

Talk to you soon. I accept the Navy hugs with gratitude and return them to you,
Becky

Mary, Glad to hear of someone else from this area. WPCC is just a little ways down the road from me. I work in Lenior for a Pharmaceutical Company. Maybe we could get together with some others in this area for dinner one evening as a few others that I know of work during the day also. What are you taking at WPCC? My son has been taking vitamins, drinking lots of OJ and just trying to stay away from anyone that he knows that is sick. I am enjoying the extra time with him and am dreading the date getting closer. I thought that I would be able to handle him leaving , but I son't think I will. When he was suppose to leave at the first of the month, I cried everyday and some days it was like a fountain, I just couldn't stop crying, Hopefully I got it all out and it will be easier on the 23rd when I take him to the recuiters office.
Have a wonderful day and may God Bless You and Watch over your son

Hey Mary!! How are you. I know summers are so busy for all of us. Hey, I do have a favor to ask, but I am not sure if you would know this or not. My husband was given free round-trip airline tickets, so we are hoping to do a weekend get-away. Problem is that Jason's graduation from C-school will be late August. He is not good at telling me things ahead of time..I think he is afraid to ask. But does C-school last eight weeks from the time he started?
He started school on June 28 at Dam Neck. Would they have given them an ending time yet??? I did get a note from Jason on my facebook and he is doing well. Keeping his studies up and scoring well on his tests. So Mary, if there is anything you can find out I would appreciate it.
