and now have a son who is in the Navy as of today 11/25/08.

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I have to let go and let my son grow up on his own! Not an easy thing to do.
The short time in the Navy has already changed my son.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Mine will have been there on Nov. 1st. and with the same squadron. I heard one mom state her son changed after 2 years. I can say, mine is not real crazy about it there, I don't think it is what he expected, so it wouldn't surprise me if he asked to change when his time there is up. He doesn't complain about the squadron, I just think he would be happier with a regular squadron, as people wouldn't be moving in and out so much.

My son is also with VFA125 and I have been hoping he would be transferred to a regular squadron, but he has been there a year now and hasn't been given any indication that a change is ahead.

this is great news. I got disgusted with Dumpster when he threw to second instead of home and the ball went to the infield. WHAT!!! I said, OMG and turned to Tori and Dean, LMAO I went back periodically to make sure I had made the right decision, and unfortunately ...I had.
Of course you should get him those tickets! you have to ask? also tell him the food at Chavez Ravine( the ball park) is fantastic so go hungry, they have these things called cheesy garlic fries...pretty good and their hot dawgs are good too, kosher too.( tell me, do they still have those tiny chopped onions at wriggly?)
Glad to hear he likes it better. I here the same thing from all the new a school grads it seems. I think they need to acclamate . Except my kid. all he needed was the route to the beach. He had missed the ocean so much. ( we lived in Fl for 20 yrs so from birth to 15 he was a water baby.)
I have some more stuff in the works. How do you feel about an air show in Oct. AT NAS Oceana??? Does that at all like fun? They have a Navy for MOMs booth...Hugs From Home/// OH, well, I am in charge I found out today, ROFLMAO. SO this is probably the year the Cubs will do it, I will be under the jet noise trying to get a score off someoes blackberry. ROFLMAO.... later girl, I have company coming and I put my house on the market and I am running like a nut. have a good wk-end. GO CUBS GO...hey, I have the song on my player on MY page! LOL

WE used to raise smoth standard red weiners when I was a kid. THey are great. So much fun and full of moxie.In fact, we had one named Moxie the Doxie LMAO

Oh no, don't misunderstand me... I am a CUB fan., I Never get that excited, OK I was a mess in 1969, but that was a learning experience. HA HA.( do you know to this day it is hard for me not to dislike a Mets fan...)
The game is not on tonight because of ESPN Monday night baseball( CArds are on) but I will be watching on Tuesday. You should make a Navy $ Moms sign. I bet that would make it on TV!
