I've "heard" folks talking about these pictures, however; I have not seen them.  Does anyone have any they are willing to share or know of an order form to get them??

Did anyone receive a letter today? Let's all pray that tomorrow is the day? Does anyone have a recruit in Ship11 Div 212? I know it won't change anything, but it would be good to know that my husband is surrounded by men with caring family. My children's classes want to send the guys in my husband Div cards. Do you think that would be ok?

I left in the middle of work today, driving 20 minutes home, just to check the mail. Nothing from Matt. Having a really tough day! Went back to work with a very bad attitude. lol. Tomorrow, tomorrow!! I guess I will just call his cell phone so I can hear his voice. Its hard being so torn between pride and sadness!

My son is ship 11 div 212. We received the box and the form letter on the 26th, very excited, even our dog was until he found out there were no biscuits in it. The box answered some of my questions going though it, we did not get to see him off at the airport. Opening up the form letter made my day, because his little comments at the end sounded like my son (quick wit and some sarcasm). In that little comment he reminded me how we take our freedoms and greneral things in life for granite. I worry about him every day and pray he is doing everything required of him. Every letter sent I remind him how proud we are of him and send all the encouragement I can. He could make me laugh at the drop of a dime but now I burst into tears at the oddest time. I am going to send him some funny things also (who does't enjoy a good joke or a funny story) . So glad to join a group for 6/11/10, great to know there are others out there feeling the same way I am. God Bless you sons and daughters and give them strength to become a U.S. Sailor!

"Letters from Home" is a beautiful song by Mark Schultz

wglover- Congrats on your phone call....

Well today is my sons birthday and it is really hard that I can not call and say "Happy Birthday" but when I woke up I just said it out loud and that made me feel a little better... Today is going to be a busy day for me at work so it will hopefully get me busy. Then I just hope the mailman is good to me today! I will be singing that song all day.

You all have a wonderful day!

Oh, try the Ramada, I booked the Thursday night before PIR because they shuttle your party to PIR and have a meet and greet Thursday

Thats funny you bring up that Rascal Flatts -"My Wish." I put a full page congratulations ad in my sons yearbook, and included that song. Speaks volumes! I am having a tough day, and am hoping that I get some sort of correspondence from my son today. I am trying to figure out where to stay for graduation, but am not having any luck finding a hotel room that actually has 2 separate bedrooms, along with shuttle service.

Oh! Yes to be sure this song has replayed in my mind when my daughter graduated from college and now has a a whole new meaning as does "letters from home", I cried to it trying to fall a sleep last night. All the more to start the day in a positive note. Their not kidding about the rollercoster!!
