Paula, Safe travels to you and your family as well. And what you just said .... I couldn't have said it better. And, changing the title to PIR6/4Alumni after 6/4 is a great idea. I know that all of us won't meet up but I really do hope some or most of us do. This site has really helped me ... whether it was to get some upcoming info or to see what and where our recruits were doing ... but above all, it truly gave me comfort knowing that I was not alone in this unknown territory. When my son left, I knew nothing ... didn't know what to do and didn't know what to expect. It was all of YOU that walked me through this. I found this site by looking through the little brochure they sent us and boy am I glad they advertised it.
I'm flying in on Thursday morning so I am planning to attend the meet-n-greet at the Ramada. Is anyone else attending?

Thanks Kathy it will be great know the paths these young men and women take. I for one feel very close to these women on this site and would hate to loose contact just because our young people choose different paths. I love hearing about all there accomplishments. Thanks again!!

Paula, I like the idea of changing the name to PIR6/4Alumni. I'm sure we'll all join other sites as our sailors travel thru their careers but it would be great to have this as our home site to return to and catch up. I'll get it changed next week.

chole ... thanks for the link ... I will definately check it out because I will need it.

kathyjeanba ... your post was really nice - thanks.

joshuasmom ... You have me here in tears as I read your post. I'm So sorry about Joshua and the outcome of him having to go home. I will keep your family in my prayers. It's crazy how things happen. We're not suppose to ask why but we are to just accept that it's what the good Lord has planned for us. Whatever journey that is planned for Joshua ... I wish and pray the best for him.

joshuasmom - I, for one, have thought about your son a lot over the last seven weeks and I wish him the best in his future endeavors. He has a very strong support system that will help him in his journey! Thank you for the kinds words! Take care and please know that your son and your family will also be in the prayers of many people - people that you probably won't ever meet in person! Good luck to all of you.
