@ BR549- I believe as long as it isn't in home state, he won't need to worry about inspection due to him not being stationed there. Check with the DMV in your state to be sure.

BR549, Kinda hard to explain.  He was so appreciative and grateful that we went all that way to see him. I guess he realizes the time and money put into it. Especially the time.    Not that we would ever complain.  Our safety on the road was a major concern for him.  He's growing up and really seeing life as a young man.

So exciting that the plans are made for your trip to SD.  Of course, as MOM,  I hope that R is sent to VA for C school but  SD would be awesome for him. We can visit him there too.  Love being a NAVY family and the new chapter it has opened up in our lives.

R's truck is sitting in our front yard just waiting for him.  No way we would get rid of it.  He will be home at some point and need it. He may even get to have it at C school in VA.  LOL

His roommate's wife sends him food sometimes which has really lifted his spirits.   So, if you are the wife of a Sailor on this site that makes wonderful zucchini bread, tamales and fudge...I thank you for sharing with R.

Well his school will be 6 months or 2 years. And could he have leave during Christmas to get married?
