OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Hope all is well with everyone. One year ago today, my sailor started on his journey of becoming a US Navy Sailor.  My how time flies.  I have question (that's if it isn't too late). Does anyone have any information on how I can order the PIR video?

Comment by ImJoshsMom on August 18, 2013 at 11:10am

It has been awhile since our Sailors graduated boot camp, have graduated their A school, and have gone on to their first duty station.

I hope everyone is doing well and has become adjusted. Life is about change and growth. It is difficult to know we have to move or that our baby boy will be far away for 4 years. The amount of pride I have for my son is overwhelming! I have always known he would do great things and go many places helping others.

...One PROUD mama here!

to Milligan7ship14div007 there were two posts that served Thanksgiving dinner in Mchenry to sailors. One was the Moose lodge 3535 N Richmond Road Johnsburg, IL 60051-5447 (They hosted about 50 sailors) and the VFW 3002 W IL Route 120 Mchenry, IL 60051-4571 (They hosted about 75 sailors)

SEA's mom  - Thank you. My son said they all clapped when our sailors got off the bus.  He said they had tons of food, dancing, singing, Santa Claus.  It made my son feel really good.
