For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

So when you are shipping boxes understand that the United States Post Office is only shipping the box to the Navy (FPO- Fleet Post Office)... from there it goes out to the AP (Asia Pacific) warehouse to be routed to the ship or base according to the zip code and location of the ship, squadron, unit, etc.
So don't worry about insurance... it is only insured until it gets to the Navy... don't worry about tracking... it is only tracked until it is delivered to the Navy...
Also... I have found that the flat rate boxes or that sized box makes it quicker to the ship... they can pack it onto a pallet with all the others much easier so it goes out much quicker!

Wanted to say hello. My name is Dawn & my son Brian just joined the ship last week in Panama. He has known since last July that he was going to join this crew. At that time he was doing his cranking deployment on the USS Pearl Harbor before returning to old ship and complete the USS Ford's decommissioning. He was excited to hear that his new ship would be out on deployment but sad to hear about it's upcoming decomm. He's looking forward to getting to know his new crew members and will be most respectful of their limited time remaining together. On a lighter note, Congrats to the Rentz for is accomplishments during this cruise.

Hey all ... so quiet here!! Did anyone else get a phone call last week?? Was so great to be able to skype for a bit with my sailor!! Sounds like they had some great adventures so far!!

No problem... I don't blame you for asking!! I did the same thing before I used one... and now I have used one for years... They are non toxic.. I had the dog handlers research before we sent them to them... as long as the guys dont chew and ingest the beads they are ok!!

I live in California and this stuff should be mandatory in planting everything because of the cost and abuse of water. It got up to100 today.
