My name is Birdie and I have a son that is currently on the USS Abraham Lincoln.
He is an airman with VRC-30 Providers, Det 2.
I can't even express how proud my husband and I are of him. Joining the Navy was one of the best things he's ever done. Aside from marrying the most wonderful girl, of course. He and his bride of 2 1/2 years are expecting their first baby in April, 2011. We're all hoping he'll make it home for the birth.
I am here to support or represent my:
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
They can teach my son things that I tried for 18 years. Who knew he could actually make his bed? And iron? And clean up?
Oh, how I love the Navy!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
Birdie, l4flowers has a son on the Lincoln. She and her husband went on the Tiger Cruise. They live in Campbell (Santa Clara County) now but moving over to the coast. I think she is on the Lincoln group. She is on the San Fran group - that I know.

Be wary of who you friend…before you accept a friend go to their page and see how active they are, the comments left, groups they’ve joined. If they have a lot of friends but no groups, no comments, click ignore and DO NOT FRIEND THEM…it is likely they are spammers, e-mail address harvesting
There is a group for each month rcts leave "Leavin for Boot Camp in (month they leave)" search groups and join this group...it will have info as well as connect you with other N4M's whose rcts leave that month.
Once you get your PIR (Pass In Review=graduation)date…search groups and join the PIR group..if it hasn’t been formed yet YOU may need to form it.
