Profile Information

About me:
I am a 55 year old mom and my 25 year old daughter (my youngest) left for basic training on 1/24/12. She went through "A" school in Great Lakes and graduated as a Damage Controlman. She is stationed in Yokosuka Japan and is currently underway aboard the USS George Washington
I am here to support or represent my:
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
That the Navy requirements to join were more than I anticipated but so proud that my daughter chose the Navy rather than the other forces. This is a very positive life changing experience for both my daughter and myself.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
