Molly had the GREAT idea to send some N4M love to some of our military that are "hurting".
I am going to say that July 12 is the "birthday" of this endeavor. July 13 it got named!!
"M.A.S. Special Hugs" - M.A.S. - for Molly's Adopt a Sailor!!!

From Molly: Hey Moms ---- we are having some wounded guys coming our way. Would you like to make a thread and those who would like to send a card or messages to our wounded ones.

If you know of someone in the military "hurting" and needing a "special hug" - PM me (Brenda Sue) the address and I'll post it in our "special place." I do ask that you keep us updated on the condition or change of address of anyone that has a lingering need.

OK - Mom's let's get this ball on the roll!!

I am going to keep these names in one place - so people don't have to read through hundreds of pages to find them. Go to MAS We Ship Love (Click Here) for the addresses. This is a private group - just ask to be a member and after you have been "checked out" - the powers that be accept you!

Please use the labels designed in the "Shipping Labels" discussion so they will be easily recognized!!

You can either print these on stickers or just tape them to the envelopes. If neither is possible, just write Molly's Adopt a Sailor on the envelope - so they know where they are coming from.

Molly, How about seeing if anyone on the Sailor Rescue List can help?
Good Idea --- Im going to go over there and ask around too. Umm actually I think Susan takes care of that area --she may be the easiest link to who is there in SD
On that Molly! See moms think alike! I have contacted a couple of moms on the list! Will let you know who can assist! As I said on the phone today... it would be great to have a team together to support him when he arrives in November!
I just received an e-mail from him and responded. I'm way too far from San Diego, but I sorely wish I could help this young man.
Kathy is on this also --- I beleive we will be able to this for this fine young man.
Vickie --isnt this just a heart breaker :)
Our Love will find a way to him --- Im not stopping until it does.
Ive decided that I will fly into SD to see him after he arrives in Nov. Susan & her moms has him covered in Washington.
I'm in SD occasionally for work, I will definitely visit him when I am there. I offered him a bed for the night to break up his trip since we're just off I-5. I hope he takes me up on it. My son is stationed in Bremerton, they may have some friends in common.
You guys, this is such a wonderful thing that is done......I have 2 sons and I hate to think if they were ever alone..... I just wish I lived closer to the areas where help is needed...
Vickie ---Awesome Awesome !!!

Texas Mom you help just by being you and getting the word out there --- you know I dont live by any base and I am always missing out on the (I have a sailor for Thanksgiving or Xmas time) No sailors ever come to my home. BUT DARN it we help in our own little way --- Together we stand strong for all all troops !!
Molly, I have made contact with the wonderful Grandmother that I was telling you about (who is also a member of N4M and your group) and she lives to far away but her daughter, who's son is in GL with mine, lives close to SD. And she is going to contact her to see if she would be willing to help. In our, her and myself, conversation we talked about making contact with some of the moms of other groups that the two of us belong to. And try and make a list of those that we know that are in the SD area and see if they would be will to help. I will let you know more as things develop. (((HUGS))) Karen :-)
I am only about 90 minutes from SD and am free all days. I have contacted him and hope to keep him company during his days down here in my neck of the woods...
Karen C. and KR, Thank you so much for getting on board to help this wonderful young man. He is sweet and funny and you are going to love him too!!!
KR--- It was great to visit with you. I will call you again in a couple of days! Thanks so much for your offer of help and support!
