I am happy to say that I made it through the first week and am now less than a week and half away from Graduation. It has seemed to be a real roller coaster ride. I have aged; there is no doubt about that. The grey is showing through and I don’t think I have had a good night’s sleep since my SR left. I am so proud of her I am beyond the “Cloud 9” affect.I never thought I would make it this whole time. I do stay off most of the sites for nothing more than it depresses me to see anyone fail. - From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- So far...my experience would be how funny it was to hear my Daughters Recruiter tell her that "I missed my calling as a Drill Sgt"...He told her if she could live with me...Boot Camp will be nothing!
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

So it has been one week today or 7 days since my daughter has left, I got the box, but no letter yet. I peruse every single photo posted in the hopes of seeing her. Just a glimpse into what she is doing. She told me not to call her recruiter, which I did not until yesterday (Broke my promise)...Thank, heaven he did not answer. Never in a million years did I expect a phone call from my youngest Daughter last November asking to come by and see me...Usually it was for school money...but we had just paid the last tuition payment for the semester. She came into my office and sat down and said "Now I don't want you to get mad"...Anyone who has a child knows, those are about the worst words any child could start a conversation with!...
I told her not to worry, only dogs get mad...I get angry! Well BOOM! she pops…

I was really praying that we would get a letter this week, but from reading other posts it appears they start writing home this Sunday. This is harder than I imagined, but I think I will relax after I get his first letter home.
