Navy For Moms

PIR Groups (listed to 4/05/2013). Looking for others in same Div or Ship?

THE FORM LETTER:

Within a week after your recruit arrives at Great Lakes, you'll get THE BOX containing his old cloths and other personal items (look for his cell phone in his shoes). Next, you'll get the form letter with four important items.

  1. Your recruit's SHIP # and DIVISION # (Ships which are their barracks are also named, like USS Triton, USS Reuben James. Don't confuse these with the real life actual Navy vessels in service)
Just below that is his address.  USE THIS ADDRESS FOR YOUR LETTERS.
  2. Further down, you'll find his graduation date. This is his PIR (Pass In Review/Boot Camp graduation) date.
  3. Next, you'll see the password needed to download the parking pass
  4. Finally, you'll see the four names your recruit has listed official as his guests. (4 per recruit)

If you are lucky, you'll find a very brief note from your recruit. There is not much room to write, so don't be disappointed.

Please see this recently added discussion (just click on the link) regarding change of policy on extra guests by *FireTeamLeaderWife* on October 25, 2012.  Be sure to go to the RTC site (see below) to check on updated info for each PIR group.

EXTRA GUESTS - Will NO LONGER BE ALLOWED into GRADUATION (PIR)

What if you have a family member that is interested in attending his graduation that isn't on the list he provided.  My husband & I & my 11 yr old son are scheduled to attend but he has 2 vacant tickets, is there a way to find out if his cousin can attend since he is allowed 4 guests?
